Operations Manager - process improvement (Fresno, CA)

Silverline Vale Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Fresno and nearby communities. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. You would join a small organisation of about 154 people based in Fresno. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for treatment plant data and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with capital projects. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Fresno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
