Operations Manager - process improvement (Detroit, MI)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Drift Farms and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be process improvement. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for grower contracts and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with cold storage. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
