Operations Manager - process improvement (Des Moines, IA)

Clearpath Hollow Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Des Moines working with agencies and riders. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. You would join a large organisation of about 835 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Track performance measures for route schedules and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with fare systems. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
