Operations Manager - process improvement (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Nest Water Authority and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be process improvement. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for treatment plant data and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with pipe repairs. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
