Operations Manager - process improvement (Des Moines, IA)

Rivermark Pike Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Des Moines area, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with capital projects. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
