Operations Manager - process improvement (Columbus, OH)

Fernwood Juniper Foods produces packaged foods at its Columbus plant. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. You would join a small organisation of about 17 people based in Columbus. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for allergen controls and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with production batches. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Columbus. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
