Operations Manager - process improvement (Cleveland, OH)

Foxglove Stone Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Cleveland, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track performance measures for carrier rates and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Cleveland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
