Operations Manager - process improvement (Cincinnati, OH)

Bluepeak Orchard Freight is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on process improvement for dock schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 23 people based in Cincinnati. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for dock schedules and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Cincinnati. • We reply to every applicant.
