Operations Manager - process improvement (Chicago, IL)

Nova River Water Authority Group is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on process improvement for water quality, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for water quality and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with pipe repairs. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
