Operations Manager - process improvement (Chicago, IL)

Ironwood Yarrow Foods makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Chicago, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Track performance measures for customer specifications and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with ingredient orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
