Operations Manager - process improvement (Chicago, IL)

Westbrook Pine Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Chicago area, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
