Operations Manager - process improvement (Chicago, IL)

Greenridge Amber Construction is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on process improvement for change orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track performance measures for change orders and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with permits. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
