Operations Manager - process improvement (Charlotte, NC)

Fernwood Wren Freight Group is a Charlotte logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. You would join a large organisation of about 230 people based in Charlotte. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for customer tracking and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Charlotte. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
