Operations Manager - process improvement (Charleston, SC)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Environmental Services and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be process improvement. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for recycling loads and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with landfill records. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Charleston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
