Operations Manager - process improvement (Charleston, SC)

Northwind Nest Manufacturing is a Charleston manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track performance measures for tooling and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with scrap and rework. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Charleston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
