Operations Manager - process improvement (Buffalo, NY)

Bluepeak Mill Freight is a Buffalo logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. You would join a large organisation of about 478 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for claims and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Buffalo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
