Operations Manager - process improvement (Boston, MA)

Bright Granite Manufacturing is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on process improvement for machine downtime, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 148 people based in Boston. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for machine downtime and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with tooling. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Boston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
