Operations Manager - process improvement (Boston, MA)

Cedar Harbor Farms Group grows and distributes produce from farms near Boston. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. Seasons are busy and the rest of the year is for planning. What you will do • Track performance measures for grower contracts and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with cold storage. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
