Operations Manager - process improvement (Birmingham, AL)

Westbrook Quill Foods Group makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Birmingham, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. You would join a small organisation of about 43 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for customer specifications and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with allergen controls. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
