Operations Manager - process improvement (Birmingham, AL)

Amberfield Clear Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Birmingham working with agencies and riders. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with ridership counts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
