Operations Manager - process improvement (Birmingham, AL)

Bluepeak Union Facilities cleans and maintains buildings for schools, offices and hospitals around Birmingham, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. You would join a large organisation of about 919 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for work orders and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with contractor visits. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
