Operations Manager - process improvement (Baltimore, MD)

Cedar Wilder Manufacturing is a Baltimore manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. You would join a large organisation of about 210 people based in Baltimore. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for machine downtime and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Baltimore, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
