Operations Manager - process improvement (Austin, TX)

We are growing our team at Bright Vale Water Authority Group and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be process improvement. You would join a small organisation of about 44 people based in Austin. What you will do • Track performance measures for water quality and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with treatment plant data. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
