Operations Manager - process improvement (Anchorage, AK)

Redstone Quill Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Anchorage. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. We reward reliability. What you will do • Track performance measures for carrier rates and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
