Operations Manager - process improvement (Anchorage, AK)

We are growing our team at Northwind Oak Freight and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be process improvement. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for loads and lanes and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Anchorage, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
