Operations Manager - process improvement (Anchorage, AK)

Ironwood Vale Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Anchorage area, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Track performance measures for capital projects and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Anchorage, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
