Medical Assistant - scheduling and referrals (Tampa, FL)

Ironwood Basin Care Services Group is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Tampa, and we need a Medical Assistant to lead our scheduling and referrals. You would join a small organisation of about 64 people based in Tampa. What you will do • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Prepare and label specimens. What we are looking for • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Comfort with electronic health records. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Tampa. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
