Medical Assistant - scheduling and referrals (San Antonio, TX)

We are growing our team at Northwind Union Health and adding a Medical Assistant whose main responsibility will be scheduling and referrals. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in San Antonio. What you will do • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Prepare and label specimens. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. What we are looking for • Comfort with electronic health records. • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. Nice to have • Spanish language skills. • Phlebotomy certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Antonio. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
