Medical Assistant - scheduling and referrals (Richmond, VA)

Northwind Birch Care Services provides in-home and community support in Richmond. We are hiring a Medical Assistant to take on scheduling and referrals. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Prepare and label specimens. What we are looking for • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Comfort with electronic health records. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills.
