Medical Assistant - scheduling and referrals (remote)

Summit Basin Health provides primary and specialty care in Kansas City. We are hiring a Medical Assistant to take on scheduling and referrals. Clinicians and administrators work side by side. What you will do • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Prepare and label specimens. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. What we are looking for • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Comfort with electronic health records. Nice to have • Spanish language skills. • Phlebotomy certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Kansas City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
