Medical Assistant - scheduling and referrals (Philadelphia, PA)

Fernwood Juniper Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Philadelphia, and we need a Medical Assistant to lead our scheduling and referrals. Teams support each other, especially on hard days. What you will do • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Prepare and label specimens. What we are looking for • Comfort with electronic health records. • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Philadelphia. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
