Medical Assistant - scheduling and referrals (Memphis, TN)

Cedar Juniper Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Memphis. We are hiring a Medical Assistant to take on scheduling and referrals. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare and label specimens. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. What we are looking for • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Comfort with electronic health records. • Warm, discreet and dependable. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Memphis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
