Medical Assistant - scheduling and referrals (Knoxville, TN)

We are growing our team at Redstone Ivory Health and adding a Medical Assistant whose main responsibility will be scheduling and referrals. You would join a small organisation of about 16 people based in Knoxville. What you will do • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Prepare and label specimens. What we are looking for • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Comfort with electronic health records. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Knoxville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
