Medical Assistant - scheduling and referrals (Hartford, CT)

Fernwood Juniper Care Services supports families and individuals in Hartford with personal care and coordination. We are hiring a Medical Assistant to take on scheduling and referrals. Teams support each other, especially on hard days. What you will do • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Prepare and label specimens. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. What we are looking for • Comfort with electronic health records. • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Hartford. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
