Medical Assistant - scheduling and referrals (Detroit, MI)

Ironwood Yarrow Care Services is looking for a Medical Assistant. The job centres on scheduling and referrals for visit scheduling, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. The work is personal and so is the culture. What you will do • Prepare and label specimens. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. What we are looking for • Comfort with electronic health records. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Warm, discreet and dependable. Nice to have • Spanish language skills. • Phlebotomy certification. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
