Medical Assistant - scheduling and referrals (Charleston, SC)

Summit Oak Health is looking for a Medical Assistant. The job centres on scheduling and referrals for referrals, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Prepare and label specimens. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. What we are looking for • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Comfort with electronic health records. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Charleston. • We reply to every applicant.
