Medical Assistant - scheduling and referrals (Birmingham, AL)

Westbrook Glen Care Services provides in-home and community support in Birmingham. We are hiring a Medical Assistant to take on scheduling and referrals. We train and promote from within. What you will do • Prepare and label specimens. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. What we are looking for • Comfort with electronic health records. • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
