Medical Assistant - scheduling and referrals (Birmingham, AL)

Rivermark Quarry Care Services is looking for a Medical Assistant. The job centres on scheduling and referrals for visit scheduling, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Prepare and label specimens. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. What we are looking for • Comfort with electronic health records. • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. Nice to have • Spanish language skills. • Phlebotomy certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
