Medical Assistant - scheduling and referrals (Austin, TX)

Ironwood Orchard Health runs clinics and patient services around Austin. We are hiring a Medical Assistant to take on scheduling and referrals. You would join a small organisation of about 150 people based in Austin. What you will do • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Prepare and label specimens. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. What we are looking for • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Comfort with electronic health records. • Warm, discreet and dependable. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Austin, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
