Medical Assistant - patient intake (remote)

Summit Sparrow Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around New Orleans. We are hiring a Medical Assistant to take on patient intake. You would join a small organisation of about 14 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Prepare and label specimens. What we are looking for • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Comfort with electronic health records. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
