Medical Assistant - patient intake (New Orleans, LA)

Amberfield Ashton Health Group runs clinics and patient services around New Orleans, and we need a Medical Assistant to lead our patient intake. Continuing education is supported. What you will do • Prepare and label specimens. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. What we are looking for • Comfort with electronic health records. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Warm, discreet and dependable. Nice to have • Spanish language skills. • Phlebotomy certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
