Medical Assistant - patient intake (New Orleans, LA)

Amberfield Juniper Care Services supports families and individuals in New Orleans with personal care and coordination, and we need a Medical Assistant to lead our patient intake. You would join a large organisation of about 618 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Prepare and label specimens. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. What we are looking for • Comfort with electronic health records. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Warm, discreet and dependable. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
