Medical Assistant - patient intake (Jackson, MS)

Nova Quarry Care Services provides in-home and community support in Jackson, and we need a Medical Assistant to lead our patient intake. The work is personal and so is the culture. What you will do • Prepare and label specimens. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. What we are looking for • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Comfort with electronic health records. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. Nice to have • Spanish language skills. • Phlebotomy certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Jackson. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
