Medical Assistant - patient intake (Detroit, MI)

Harborlight Lakeside Care Services supports families and individuals in Detroit with personal care and coordination. We are hiring a Medical Assistant to take on patient intake. You would join a small organisation of about 21 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Prepare and label specimens. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. What we are looking for • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Comfort with electronic health records. Nice to have • Spanish language skills. • Phlebotomy certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
