Medical Assistant - patient intake (Birmingham, AL)

Amberfield Rowan Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Birmingham, and we need a Medical Assistant to lead our patient intake. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Prepare and label specimens. What we are looking for • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Comfort with electronic health records. • Warm, discreet and dependable. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
