Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (Virginia Beach, VA)

Northwind Fern Care Services Group provides in-home and community support in Virginia Beach, and we need a Medical Assistant to lead our lab and specimen handling. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Virginia Beach. What you will do • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Prepare and label specimens. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. What we are looking for • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Comfort with electronic health records. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
