Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (San Antonio, TX)

Fernwood Keystone Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around San Antonio, and we need a Medical Assistant to lead our lab and specimen handling. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare and label specimens. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. What we are looking for • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Comfort with electronic health records. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Antonio, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
