Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (Rochester, NY)

Bluepeak Wren Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Rochester. We are hiring a Medical Assistant to take on lab and specimen handling. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare and label specimens. • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. What we are looking for • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Comfort with electronic health records. Nice to have • Spanish language skills. • Phlebotomy certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
