Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (Rochester, NY)

Redstone Birch Care Services is looking for a Medical Assistant. The job centres on lab and specimen handling for caregiver training, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 57 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Prepare and label specimens. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. What we are looking for • Comfort with electronic health records. • Warm, discreet and dependable. • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. Nice to have • Phlebotomy certification. • Spanish language skills. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
