Medical Assistant - lab and specimen handling (remote)

Westbrook Rowan Health Group provides primary and specialty care in Reno, and we need a Medical Assistant to lead our lab and specimen handling. Continuing education is supported. What you will do • Schedule follow-ups, referrals and prior authorisations. • Keep exam rooms stocked and clean. • Room patients, take vitals and record histories. • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures. • Prepare and label specimens. What we are looking for • Medical assistant training or equivalent experience. • Comfort with electronic health records. • Warm, discreet and dependable. Nice to have • Spanish language skills. • Phlebotomy certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Reno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
